Marmoleum is an ecologically produced natural linoleum product that comes in different formats in a wide variety of color choices. The main ingredient is natural linseed oil produced by pressing the seeds from the flax plant. Pine rosins are combined with the linseed oil to produce a flexible binder mixed with wood flour. Marmoleum is available in sheets from a 6' 7" roll and is sold by the square yard. It is installed over a prepared subfloor in a trowel-spread mastic and is best left to a professional. The sheet version is what is used in bathrooms, hospitals, schools etc.
